How to Connect Your Stripe Account to CliqForms

Published On:

August 7, 2026

A step-by-step guide to accepting payments on your forms

Before you start

CliqForms lets you collect payments directly on a form using your own Stripe account.

Payments go straight to you—CliqForms never touches or holds your funds, and there's no

platform fee taken out along the way.

This guide walks you through connecting Stripe once, then adding a Payment question to any

form. You can charge a single fixed price, or sell a catalogue of products with different prices

and quantities.

What you’ll need

• A CliqForms account with a form you'd like to add payments to

• A Stripe account — if you don't have one yet, you'll be able to create one during setup (you'll

need basic business and bank details on hand)

In this guide:

1. Open Payment Settings

2. Connect your Stripe account

3. Add a Payment question

4. Choose the fixed-amount skin

5. Or choose to sell products skin

6. Match the payment to your brand

7. What your customers will see

00:03: Hi, welcome to CliqForms! In this video I'll

00:05: walk you through how to add the new payment question type to your CliqForms form.

00:10: form.

00:13: This is your CliqForms dashboard. To get started with payments, scroll

00:16: down to Integrations and click on Payment Settings. Here

00:20: you'll see two payment options — Stripe and PayPal.

00:24: We'll go with Stripe. Click on Connect Stripe.

00:29: You'll be taken to the Stripe connection screen where you'll need to add your Stripe

00:33: account details.

00:34: Once everything is filled in, your Stripe account will be connected.

00:38: Now let's go back to the form builder and see how the payment question type works

00:42: in action.

00:45: This is the form builder. To add a payment question,

00:49: scroll through the question types and select Payment.

00:55: You'll notice there are two skin types available—Fixed Amount and Sell Products. Let's

00:59: start

00:59: with a fixed amount. With Fixed Amount

01:04: selected, you can see your connected Stripe account is showing here. You can

01:08: choose

01:08: your preferred currency, customize the button text—or keep it as Pay Now—and add a payment

01:13: name, description, and the fixed amount you want to charge. Once you're happy, save the form

01:20: and let's preview how it looks for your respondents. This is how the payment

01:24: question

01:27: appears in your form. Fill in all the details needed. When a respondent clicks Pay

01:31: Now,

01:37: a payment card opens where they can securely fill in their card details and complete

01:41: the payment. That's the Fixed Amount skin. Now

01:44: let me show you

01:49: the Sell Products skin. Select Sell Products from the skin options. Here you can add

01:54: individual products.

01:59: For example — add a product

02:01: name like Bag 1, set the price, add a product description, and optionally upload a

02:06: product image. You can add multiple products —

02:12: simply click to add another product, give it a name like

02:16: Bag 2, set its price and description, and upload an image if needed.

02:21: needed.

02:29: Once all your products are added, save the form and preview it. Fill in all the

02:33: details needed.

02:38: Your respondents can select the product they want and click Pay.

02:44: Now, fill in their card details and complete the purchase—all within your CliqForms form.

02:49: form.

02:53: One more thing I want to show you — head over to the Design section and click on

02:58: UI Elements. From here, navigate to the Payment section, where you can fully

03:03: customize the colors and styling of your payment question to match your brand.

03:11: And that's it!

03:12: That's how you use the payment question type in CliqForms —

03:15: whether you're charging a fixed amount or selling multiple products. Thanks for

03:19: watching!

STEP 1

Open Payment Settings

In CliqForms, open Payment Settings from the left-hand menu, under Integrations. This is

where you connect and manage the Stripe account that will receive your payments.

You'll see a Stripe card with a status badge and a button to connect or complete your setup.

STEP 2

Connect Your Stripe Account

Click Connect Stripe. This opens Stripe's own secure onboarding in a new browser tab.

If you already have a Stripe account, sign in. If not, Stripe will walk you through creating a free

Express account—you'll need your business details and a bank account to receive payouts.

Once you're finished on Stripe, come back to the CliqForms tab—your connection status

updates automatically, so there's nothing else to click.

STEP 3

Add a Payment Question to Your Form

Open any form in the builder and add a new question. In the Question Type dropdown, choose Payment — it works just like any other question type.

Then use the Skin dropdown beside it to choose how the payment behaves: a single Fixed

amount, or sell products for a catalog.

STEP 4

Charge a Fixed Price

With the Skin set to a fixed amount, choose your payment provider, currency, and the text for

the pay button.

Then set the payment name, an optional description, and the amount you want to charge.

This is the simplest option — ideal for a single service or a flat consultation fee.

STEP 5

Or Sell Multiple Products

Selling more than one item? Switch the skin to sell products and build a full catalog.

Each product gets its own card—set a name, price, description, and image, and choose whether the quantity is fixed or the customer picks how many.

When you let the customer choose, you can also set a minimum and maximum.

A fixed-quantity product only needs a default, because it always bills exactly that number.

Customers can select from your catalog and pay for everything in one checkout.

STEP 6

Match the Payment to Your Brand

Under Design > UI Elements > Payment, you can style the payment card to match the rest

of your form.

Set the typeface, the title and description colours, the Pay Now button's colour and corner style,

and the product checkbox colors.

Leave the typeface blank, and the card simply follows your form's primary font.

STEP 7

What Your Customers Will See

When a customer fills out your form, they answer your questions as usual, then reach the

Payment question — where they see a clear order summary, pay securely through Stripe, and

get instant confirmation before submitting.

Example: fixed-amount checkout

1. Customer answers your form questions as usual.

2. Including their contact details.

3. They see a clear order summary before paying.

4. Payment is handled by Stripe's secure checkout.

5. A final review confirms the payment succeeded.

6. They get instant confirmation before submitting.

STEP 8

What Your Customers Will See (continued)

Example: selling multiple products

1. Customer answers your form questions as usual.

2. Including their contact details.

3. They pick from your catalog, and the total updates live.

4. Payment is handled by Stripe's secure checkout.

5. A final review confirms the payment succeeded.

6. They get instant confirmation before submitting.

Good to Know

• Your money goes straight to you. Payments are processed directly on your own

connected Stripe account — CliqForms never holds your funds or takes a cut.

• No extra login for customers. Customers pay through Stripe's checkout—they don't need

a Stripe or CliqForms account of their own.

• Currencies and taxes follow whatever your Stripe account supports—set the currency per

Payment question, in the row under the payment provider.
